Lanmon Creations is founded by myself, Matthew Lanmon, and my soon to be wife Haylee Munsinger. We grew up in church together and finally realized after about 15 years that we kinda liked one another.
Back in 2019, Haylee showed me a bed frame she had been interested in off of a website that resembled an online big lots store. It was a beautiful farmhouse style white bed frame that looked nice. But the price tag followed that attraction being over $3,000. So being the man I am, I decided to try my hand at building that bed frame for her instead of dropping the large chunk of change on it. So we went to Home Depot and jumped off the deep end.
After a few days we had ourself a bed frame for about $700. Haylee was happy and so was my wallet.
Once the bed frame was built we posted our success on social media just to show our accomplishment to our friends and family. That’s what started it all. Next thing we know our weekend project was blowing up, it seemed like everyone wanted a bed frame. The design was a hit alongside some of the other projects we built. I had already started building things like a couch, shoe shelf’s, and tv stands that everyone was loving.
These are a few of our earliest projects. You can click through the slideshow to see them all.
This was all just stuff I didn’t want to go buy from a furniture store. I knew the quality and the longevity of my work. Which, saved us thousands and opened up a new hobby for us. Anytime Haylee would get an itch for a new piece of furniture we would just go straight to the drawing board.
Starting off with these projects, we really didn’t even have a shop, we had the tailgate of my old truck.
Now days we are so thankful that we have a fully functional shop in between Willis and New Waverley, Texas where we build all sorts of things. Haylee and I just want to say thank you for everyone’s support to help get us where we are today. Without our friends and family we couldn’t have reached our dreams of opening up Lanmon Creations.
